Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:

Frosinone, 12th position with 15 points and a negative goal difference of -1

Inter took back the 1st position after winning the Serie A Week 12 game against Frosinone on Sunday 12 November 2023 at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan, Italy. Inter with 31 points grabbed this victory to send Juventus back to the 2nd position with 29 points. Amazing goal by Federico Dimarco in the 43rd minute, winning a left-footed shot from around 56 meters. The other goal was scored by Hakan Çalhanoglu converting a penalty.

Inter opened the score in the 43rd minute with a super goal. Federico Dimarco defeated Frosinone goalkeeper Stefano Turati with a left-footed shot from more than 40 yards to the high center. The assist is by Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Inter returned stronger in the second half and there you go in the 48th minute another goal. It is Hakan Çalhanoglu to convert a penalty with a right-footed shot to the bottom right corner. The penalty is conceded by Ilario Monterisi.

✅    Stats before the game: Inter won all four matches in Serie A against Frosinone, scoring 11 goals and conceding just one (Cassata on 14 April 2019, in Ciociaria). Among the teams against which they have always lost away in Serie A and against whom they have never scored away from home, only against Napoli (minus eight), Frosinone has a worse goal difference than against Inter (minus seven). In the last 19 Serie A matches, Inter have collected 16 wins, one draw and two defeats, averaging 2.6 points per game (49 in total) and collecting 11 clean sheets; in this period of time, the teams with the most points won in the competition after the Nerazzurri are Milan and Juventus, both at 39, 10 less than Inter in the period. Before Frosinone, there were 28 newly promoted teams to collect at least 15 points in the first 11 games of a Serie A championship in the three-points-for-a-win era: 27 of these survived at the end of the championship, while the only one to be relegated was Perugia in 1996/97. This is the fourth time that Inter have collected at least 28 points in the first 11 games of a Serie A championship in the three points for a win era, but only once in the previous three (2019/20, 2017/18 and 2009/ 10) then won the Scudetto at the end of the season.
