Monza making their debut in Serie A after being promoted from Serie B.  Monza challenging Torino in the Serie A Week 1 game  on Saturday 13 August 2022 at the  U-Power Stadium in Monza, Italy.   The defeat is not that bad considering that “Dany Mota” scored Monza’s first historic Serie A goal and will be always remembered.  The goal arrived in the 94th minute.

The atmosphere at the kick-off was spectacular, with the east grandstand reopened after 20 years, and the beautiful choreography of the Curva Pieri, under the eyes of Silvio Berlusconi. Stroppa also seeing the debuts of the last two signings, Petagna and Pablo Marí.

Good news are for Torino, goal on the debut by Aleksei Miranchuk and doubling in the second half of Sanabria. In the next round, Monza will play the away game against Napoli, while Torino will make their debut within the friendly walls against Lazio.

Torino upsetting Monza by opening the score in the 43r minute. It is Aleksey Miranchuk to defeat Monza goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio with a left footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Antonio Sanabria.


Torino increased the score in the 66th minute. It is Antonio Sanabria to score for the 0-2 from very close range with a right footed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Samuele Ricci.

Monza scored their first goal in Serie A in the 94th minute. Dany Mota defeated Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic from very close range with a left footed shot to the center.
