Sassuolo winning  their second game this season and avoiding falling down in the relegation zone.  Sassuolo defeating Genoa at the Mapei Stadium and are now ready to continue their dream in Europa League.  Sassuolo highly motivated with this victory going from the 17th to the 10th position reaching 6 points and a negative goal difference of -2.  It’s a step back for Genoa down now from the 5th to the 7th position.

Sassuolo opening the score in the 58th minute.  Referee Gavillucci giving a penalty to Sassuolo conceded by Genoa Leonaro Pavoletti also getting a yellow card following a foul on Sassuolo forward Gregoire Defrel.  It is midfielder Matteo Politano to convert the penalty  defeating Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perin  with a left footed shot despite going to the right direction in the top left corner and unable to stop it.
