Napoli succumbing to the pressure to win this home game after starting the season with a defeat against Sassuolo. Sampdoria super motivated with their positive result this season after crushing Carpi last week with a mega goleada 5-2. It is a slap for Napoli who had the lead just to end the game with a draw. Surely, Napoli fans not happy at all with coach Maurizio Sarri.
Party starting at the San Paolo in the 9th minute! Yep, it is forward Gonzalo Higuain to open the score! Higuain defeating Sampdoria goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano with a left footed shot in the bottom right corner. The assist is by forward Lorenzo Insigne.
An awesome moment for Higuain scoring the second goal of the match in the 39th minute. Higuain defeating goalkeeper Viviano with a right footed shot in the bottom left corner. The assist is by midfiedler Allan Loureiro.
Up to the first half the party was all for Napoli… things starting to change after the break.. It seems Sampdoria coach Walter Zenga delivered a highly motivated speech to his players to keep up the battle.
In the 57th minute, Referee Gervasoni giving a penalty to Sampdoria conceded by Napoli defender Raul Albiol after a foul on midfielder Fernando. Taking the penalty spot is forward Citadin Eder who without a doubt just delivered a right footed shot to convert the penalty in the bottom left corner. This is the 3rd goal of the season by Eder.
The party now crushing for Napoli in less than 3 minutes! Sampdoria equalizing the score in the 59th minute and the verdugo is Citadin Eder to grab one point for Sampdoria. Eder defeating goalkeeper Pepe Reina with a right footed shot in the bottom right corner. The assist is by Roberto Soriano. It’s a special goal for Eder because he is now up to Week 2 the top scorer with 4 goals.
