Chaos for Napoli losing the first home game this season at the San Paolo Stadium. It’s an upset, a painful defeat while Chievo Verona celebrates this important victory. Napoli must archive this defeat and prepare ahead of the Europa League match against Sparta Prague on 18 September also at the San Paolo.
Certainly, it was a black day at the San Paolo with fans disappointed. Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain playing his 50th game with Napoli today. Not an ideal way to celebrate for Higuain who had the chance to open the score in the 27th minute. Here is the situation. Referee Piero Giacomelli giving a penalty to Napoli conceded by Chievo defender Bostjan Cesar also getting a yellow card after bringing down Higuain. A nightmare for Higuain when he takes the penalty spot to see his right footed shot saved by Chievo goalkeeper while deviating for a corner.
