It’s s super recovery start for Juventus after losing the Champions League match against Olympiacos. Juventus returning to Serie A to take control of the situation and claim a victory to secure the “sole leadership” with 22 points while AS Roma remain in 2nd position with 19 points. Sad news is for Palermo because they fall from the 16th to the 18th position in the relegation zone.
Juventus opening the score in the 32nd minute with midfielder Arturo Vidal defeating Palermo goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino with a left footed shot in the bottom right corner. The assist is by forward Carlos “El Apache” Tevez. It’s the third goal of the season for Vidal.
Second goal of the match in the 64th minute following a corner conceded by Palermo defender Sinisa Andjelkovic. Taking the corner kick is midfielder Andrea Pirlo to provide the assist to forward Fernando Llorente for the headed shot leaving Palermo goalkeeper Sorrentino frustrated while observing the ball in the bottom left corner. Nothing to do, it’s a goal… A special goal for Llorente because it is his first goal in this season.
