Juventus reaffirming their dominion over the Roman gladiators.   Juventus winning their 10th consecutive game and increasing the gap to 8 points ahead of AS Roma holding the second position with 41 points.  Simply put, Juventus keeping the sole leadership and increasing the speed towards the Scudetto.  It’s the first lost this season for Roma.

The
duel is set also among Italian icons Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo vs
AS Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi, AS Roma forward Francesco Totti vs
Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon….

It is Juventus to open the score in the 17th minute.  A bim bam boom while AS Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi attempts to stop Juventus forward Carlos Tevez while Tevez made it to make a close range pass to midfielder Arturo Vidal.  And the uproar at the Juventus stadium so loud when Vidal defeats AS Roma goalkeeper with a right footed shot in the bottom right corner.  It’s Vidal’s 8th goal this season and the third against Roma.

Another blow for AS Roma!  In the 48th minute, it is Juventus to increase the score with defender Leonardo Bonucci defeating from close range goalkeeper De Sanctis with a right footed shot in the bottom right corner.  The assist by legendary icon Andrea Pirlo.

Juventus coach Antonio Conte making a substitution in the 60th minute replacing forward Carlos Tevez with forward Mirko Vucinic.

AS Roma coach Rudi Garcia substitutes forward Francesco Totti in the 73rd minute with midfielder Alessandro Florenzi.  Totti leaves the pitch among whistles by Juventus fans….

Making matters worst for the Roman gladiators… In the 75th minute Referee Rizzoli gives a straight RED CARD to midfielder Daniele De Rossi.  Roma remaining with 10 players.  Mamma mia,,,,, and you won’t believe this one.  I have not even finished typing the sent off of De Rossi when a minute after, Rizzoli gives another RED CARD to Roma defender Leandro Castan for a handball and it is a penalty!!!!   Deep problem and a nightmare for Roma remaining now with 9 players.

Say no more, somebody stop the killing!   Roma not only losing the game and having just 9 players in the pitch, but also conceding another goal!   In the 77th minute, forward Mirko Vucinic converts the penalty by defeating goalkeeper De Sanctis with a right footed shot in the bottom left corner.  Certainly, not a good way to start 2014 for Roma.
