Inter succumbing to the pressure to win the home game to keep up the race towards a spot in Europa League next season only to ended up with a 1-1 draw. Cesena in desperate need to defeat Inter to climb towards salvation. Bottom line, Inter needed to get back to the winning path after losing the Europa League Round of 16 against Wolfsburg in Germany. Now, Inter will prepare to face Wolfsburg this Thursday at the Meazza for the second leg of the Europa League. Surely, this draw is not a high motivation.
Surprise, surprise, it is Cesena to open the score freezing the Giuseppe Meazza! In the 30th minute Cesena forward Gregoire Defrel defeating Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic with a left footed shot in the center. The assist is by midfielder Carlos Carbonero.
Inter equalizing the score in the 48th minute. There it is forward Rodrigo Palacio defeating Cesena goalkeeper with a right footed shot in the bottom right corner. The assist is by forward Mauro Icardi. It’s the 5th goal this season by Palacio.
