Fiorentina failed to start the season with a victory and lost the home game at the Artemio Franchi Stadium.  Napoli, who ended in the second place last season, start this season with a victory to set the race for the Scudetto sending the clear message to Juventus that they are a main contender.   A highlight of the match includes the debut of new Fiorentina player French Franck Ribery.   Ribery started as a substitute replacing Riccardo Sottil in the 78th minute.

Napoli taking the lead in he 42nd minute. Forward Lorenzo Insigue converts a penalty with a right footed shot in the bottom right corner. The penalty is conceded by Gaetano Castrovilli after a foul on Dries Mertens.

Napoli breaking the draw in the 67th minute. The hero for Napoli is forward Lorenzo Insigne scoring from close range with a headed shot in the center. The assist is by José Callejón. Bam! Insigne with 2 goals… rocking….
