Fiorentina rocking big time! What a delicate for Bologna!!!! Pressure now is high for coach Stefano
Pioli to start winning or risking sacking! Fiorentina are energized
and with high motivation after passing to the Europa League as 1st of
the group. Bologna suffering another blow after being eliminated from
the Coppa Italia by Serie B team AC Siena. Simply put, Bologna are
still in the relegation area and this is not satisfying the fans at all,
but asking for a quick revival.
Fiorentina opening the score in the 13th minute. It is midfielder Josip Ilicic to defeat Bologna goalkeeper Gianluca Curci with a left footed shot in the bottom right corner.
Problems for Bologna defense allowing too much space to Fiorentina who could have scored already at least another 2 goals. Bologna have not a one game in the last 5 games.
In the 29th minute, there you go Fiorentina with a brilliant move scoring the second goal of the game. Bologna defense seems to be wondering. Imagine, Fiorentina forward Giuseppe Rossi checking up the space to see his teammate midfielder Borja Valero in the center and voila. the assist! Valero having enough time even to pause and accommodate the ball while Bologna defender Mikael Antonsson and midfielder Rene Khirn attempts to run to catch up Valero…. well, nothing to do. Valero with a right footed shot defeating goalkeeper Curci in the bottom right corner.
First half ends 56% ball possession Fioentina and 44% ball possession Bologna
Second half starting without a reaction from Bologna.
It is Fiorentina to score the third goal of the match in the 64th minute! An assist by Borja Valero towards the right finding forward Giuseppe Rossi having time to accommodate the ball to smack a left footed shot defeating goalkeeper Curci in the high center! It’s the 13th goal this season for Rossi being the absolute top scorer of the Serie A.
