Empoli winning their third game this season and the dream for salvation gaining momentum.   A chaos for Cagliari continuing losing points and getting closer to the relegation zone.

It is Empoli to open the score in the 8th minute.  Forward Levan Mchedlidze delighting their fans after defeating Cagliari goalkeeper Marco Storari with a right footed shot in the center.  The assist is by forward Guido Marilungo.

A magic game for the combo Levan Mchedlidze-Marilungo.   Mchedlidz scoring his second goal of the match in the 72nd minute defeating goalkeeper Storari with a  left-footed shot in the bottom right corner. The assist again is by forward Guido Marilungo.

Making matters worst for Cagliari is the failed penalty by Joao Pedro as Empoli goalkeeper  Lukasz Skorupski save it. Referee Rizzoli had given a penalty to Cagliari in the 81st minute conceded by  Empoli defender Giuseppe Bellusci after a foul on Cagliari forward Diego Farias.
