It’s was a key game for Inter and Crotone. Inter battling for a spot at least in the Europa League while Crotone battling for salvation to remain in the Serie A next season. The winner was Crotone and the dream for salvation is gaining momentum. Technically speaking, Inter being a superior team than Crotone, might consider this defeat a total flop. On paper, Inter were favorites, but Crotone changed the script and claimed a much needed victory.

17 | Empoli | 23 | 31 | 5 | 8 | 18 | 18 | 49 | -31 | |

Inter suffering their second consecutive defeat. Crotone winning their 5th game and hope for salvation gaining momentum. Crotone reaching 23 points are only – 3 points below Empoli with 23 points in the 17th position. Inter went down from the 6th to the 7th position remaining with 55 points.
Against all odds, it is Crotone to open the score in the 18th minute. Referee Guida giving a penalty to Crotone conceded by Inter defender Gary Medel after a handball inside the penalty area. It is forward Diego Falcinelli to convert the penalty defeating Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic with a left footed shot in the bottom left corner. This is the 10th goal of the season by Falcinelli.
Surprise, surprise….. Crotone increasing the score and so far controlling “the giant.”
