A draw not helping much.. Carpi needed the home victory to start climbing the Serie A table and dream with salvation.   A draw giving just 1 point to Carpi and Palermo.

Carpi equalizing the score in the 73rd minute.   Referee Rizzoli giving a penalty to Carpi conceded by Palermo defender Edoardo Goldaniga after a foul on Carpi forward Matteo Mancosu.    It’s precisely Mancosu to equalize by converting the penalty defeating Palermo goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino with a right footed shot in the bottom left corner.
