Mission accomplished for Bologna winning their third game this season after defeating Sampdoria at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium.    It was a duel as both had 6 points each before the match.   For Bologna, it means getting away from the relegation zone.

Bologna opening the score in the 45th minute just before ending the first half.  It is forward Simone Verdi to score defeating Sampdoria goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano with a right footed shot in the top right corner.   The assist is by Ladislav Krejci with a cross.   It’s the 3rd goal of the season by Verdi.

Bologna delighting their fans at the Dall’Ara Stadium leading against Sampdoria.  Far from Sampdoria reacting, it is Bologna to increase the score.  In the 50th minute, forward Mattia Destro running fast to arrive on time  to get the pass by Ladislav Krejci with a cross.  There you see Destro smacking a right footed shot defeating goalkeeper Viviano in the center.  Destro immediately celebrating with fans with the shirt of of his teammate goalkeeper Antonio Mirante for solidarity.

Sampdoria in deep trouble!!!!  Referee Calvarese giving a direct red card to Sampdoria midfielder Edgar Barreto after his foul on Bologna midfielder Ádám Nagy.

Bologna ending the game with 10 players just in extra time when Referee Calvarese gave a red card to forward Federico Di Francesco in the 92nd minute after a foul on Sampdoria midfielder Karol Linetty.
