Napoli ended the 2018-2019 Serie A Season in the second position securing a spot in the UEFA Champions League next season.  Last game is the Serie A Week 38 game Bologna vs Napoli on Saturday 25 May 2019 at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium in Bologna, Italy.  Bologna closing the season in grand style by winning this home victory.  Napoli won 24 games this season while Bologna winning 11.

The party for Bologna fans is absolute at the Dall’Ara Stadium. Bologna not losing a home game since 90 days!

It is Bologna to open the score in the 43rd minute. Federico Santander defeating Napoli goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis with a headed shot in the bottom left corner. The assist is by Rodrigo Palacio with a cross.

Chaos for Napoli. Bologna increasing the score just two minutes after the first goal. In the 4th minute, Blerim Dzemaili delighting the fans delivering a left footed shot all the way to the bottom right corner. Way to go for Federico Santander providing the assist.

Napoli shortening the distance in the 57th minute. Faouzi Ghoulam defeating Bologna goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski with a left footed shot in the center. The assist is by Fabián Ruiz.

Napoli equalizing the match for the 2-2 in the 77th minute. Forward Dries Mertens making a fast run to get the spot to deliver a right footed shot in the bottom left corner. The assist is by Amin Younes.  A good way to say “Here, I am.”  Dries Mertens came as a substitute in the 63rd minute after replacing Lorenzo Insigne and now scoring the equalizer goal.

What a turning point!!!!  Hello, hello, hello, hello…. Bologna claiming back the lead in the 88th minute.  We might say it is a “miraculous goal” because Federico Santander being at the right spot heading the ball for a goal and falling down to the ground after not even sure whether he scored or not….  There you go … teammates running to embrace Santander for this winner goal.
