Mission accomplished…. Inter breaking the tabu defeating Atalanta at the Atleti Azzurri D’Italia Stadium. The last time Inter defeated Atalanta in Bergamo was back in the 2007 -2008 season with a 0-2 thanks to the goals by Vieira and Mario Balotelli. A super match by Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin scoring 2 goals to secure the victory.
A good start for Inter. Referee Bati giving a penalty to Inter in the 2nd minute conceded by Atalanta defender Gianpaolo Bellini after a foul on midfielder Fredy Guarin. Taking the penalty spot is forward Xherdan Shaqiri and there you go… it’s a goal defeating goalkeeper Marco Sportiello converting the penalty with a left footed shot in the top left corner. It’s the first goal with Inter in Serie A by Shaqiri.
