Atalanta going against all odds claiming an important victory.  AS Roma failing to win the away game slowing down the race for the Scudetto.  It’s a major step back because AS Roma is now – 7 points below Juventus holding the first position with 33 points.    Atalanta going from the 6th to the 5th position reaching 25 points.   Atalanta grabbing the full victory thanks to Franck Kessié converting a late penalty in the 90th minute to secure the victory.

Atalanta can dream with the adventure to be in European competition next season if remaining among the top 5 positions.  Surely, the ideal for Atalanta will be to make it for the Champions League, though, the season still long.   AS Roma will have to archive this defeat and prepare for the Europa League next Thursday 24 November against Viktoria Plzen at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium.

It is AS Roma to open the score in the 40th minute.  Referee Rocchi giving a penalty to Roma conceded by Atalanta defender Rafael Toloi following a handball inside the penalty area and getting a yellow card.  It is forward Diego Perotti to  convert the penalty defeating Atalanta goalkeeper Berisha with a right footed shot in the bottom left corner.

Atalanta equalizing for the 1-1 in the 62nd minute.  It is defender Mattia Caldara to defeat AS Roma goalkeeper Sczesny with a headed shot in the bottom left corner.

The final crash and headache for Roma arriving in the agonizing minutes of the match.   Referee Rocchi giving a penalty to Atalanta conceded by Leandro Paredes after a foul on Atalanta midfielder Alejandro Gómez.   Immediately, in the 90th minute, Atalanta fans believing in a miracle to grab this victory and there you go.  Franck Kessié converting the penalty with a right footed shot delighting the fans knowing they stopped AS Roma.
