It’s another step back for Inter unable to win the away game against Atalanta grabbing only 1 single point. It’s a pity for Inter as last week not only losing the home game against Sassuolo, but also losing the leadership. Inter “once the leader of the Serie A” seeing their chances to regain the leader an uphill battle. The challenge will be to win the next game at the Meazza against Carpi for the Serie A Week 21 to keep the race for the Scudetto alive.
This draw is more a sign of redemption for Atalanta because they had lost their last four games and today grabbing a draw. Moreover, Atalanta put up a stronger battle and had a better match. Simply put, Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic was the savior for Inter to avoid a defeat making great saves denying in this way Atalanta’s hope for the victory.
Bad luck starting for Inter in the 17th minute. It’s defender Jeison Murillo to open the score with an own goal giving the lead to Atalanta.
Things getting even for Inter when Atalanta also making an own goal! In the 25th minute, defender Rafael Toloi scoring against his own goalkeeper to level the score for the 1-1.
