What a blow for Roma falling at the Olimpico Stadium!   We might consider this home defeat a total disaster considering that Roma needed to win to get closer to the top 2 positions of the Serie A. Yet, it’s a miracle for Atalanta who were not favorites to win the game, but grabbed the full 3 points.   Not to mention the disappointment of Roma fans even whistling, protesting….

What’s going on with Roma?  Not to mention that Roma fans still remember the chaotic defeat at Camp Nou with Barcelona defeating Roma with the humiliating result 6-1.

Atalanta opening the score in the 40th minute with forward Alejandro Gomez defeating AS Roma goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis with a right footed shot in the  top right corner.

Referee Calvarese gives a red card to Roma defender Maicon in the 81st minute after a foul on forward Alejandro Gomez.   Things go bad for Roma because Atalanta forward German Denis converts the penalty defeating goalkeeper De Sanctis with a right footed shot in the center.   Roma remained with 10 players and losing the game…

Two minutes after, Referee Calvarese gives a red card to Atalanta defender Gugielmo Stendardo after getting a second yellow card.  Now, Roma and Atalanta even playing with 10 players each.

Just towards the end, Referee Calvarese giving a red card to Atalanta midfielder Alberto Grassi in the 93rd minute.

Roma will have to regroup and change strategy for the next game.  Roma are playing Serie A Week 15 against Torino at the Olimpico di Torino Stadium in Turin.
