AC Milan must be regretting the wasted chance to claim the home victory against Fiorentina.  It was the “chance” to jump from the 4th to the 3rd position, but things did not work out.  The 1-1 draw brings down Milan to the 6th position.

AC Milan opening the score in the 25th minute following a corner conceded by Fiorentina defender Nenad Tomovic.   The assist made by Colombian defender Cristian Zapata towards the center finding midfielder Nigel De Jong for the headed shot defeating Fiorentina goalkeeper Neto in the bottom left corner.

Fiorentina equalizing in the 64th minute.   It must be a “Colombian day” because the assist for Fiorentina’s goal made by another great Colombian midfielder Juan Guillermo Cuadrado, who had renewed his contract with Fiorentina.   The assist is to midfielder Josip Ilicic defeating AC Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati with a left footed shot in the bottom right corner.

AC Milan coach attempted maybe a late reaction by making the last substitution in the 80th minute bringing forward Fernando Torres in  place of forward Jeremy Menez.   Point is that neither Torres could help the rossoneri to grab the victory.
