Hello, my friends. Here are the 2021-2022 Italian Serie A Week 34 RESULTS / Thirty-Fourth Round on Saturday 23, Sunday 24, and Monday 25 April 2022. There are 4 more games (meaning 12 points) to end the season.   Milan have only +2 points lead with 71 points ahead of Inter (69) and Napoli with 68 points. The mission for salvation is for Cagliari, Venezia, Genoa, and Salernitana.  Inter have a game in hand against Bologna to be played on Wednesday 27 April.

The sprint race for the Scudetto is on. AC Milan defeated Lazio at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium..  AC Milan take back the 1st position reaching 74 points while Inter down to the 2nd position with 72 points and a game in hand.  Milan therefore at the top of the standings, even if Inter must recover the challenge with Bologna, Lazio outside the Europe area. Milan finds a comeback at the Olimpico which is worth the momentary top of the standings

Inter motivated after qualifying for the Coppa Italia Final win the Serie A Week 34 game crushing AS Roma at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium. It’s the return of Mr. Treble, the Special One and ex-Inter Coach José Mourinho to the Meazza. Roma crumbling at the Meazza will have to focus now on the UEFA Europa Conference League Semifinal on May 5 against Leicester City. Inter with their fourth consecutive victory. In the next league matches, Roma will host Bologna at the Olimpico over the weekend while Inter will play the recovery game with Bologna on Wednesday at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium.

Juventus with a sprint race defeated Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium. Juventus reached 66 points being -1 point below Napoli with 67 points in the 3rd position.  Juventus beat Sassuolo with a comeback.  Giacomo Raspadori opened the score and Paulo Dybala finds the equalizer while the winning goal was scored by Moise Kean. This victory brings Juventus ever closer to winning a place in the Champions League.

Torino defeated Spezia at the Olimpico di Torino Stadium.  Torino returns to win at home after a fast of over three months obtaining their fourth consecutive useful result.  Excellent performance of the men of Ivan Juric, good at controlling the operations from the transformation of Lukic’s penalty up to the end.  Manaj realizes the penalty for Spezia at the end but it is too late to try to straighten the game.  In the next round, Spezia will face Lazio at home while Torino will visit Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium.

Venezia and Atalanta playing for the first time since March 24, 2002, 7335 days away from this match in Serie A at the Pier Luigi Penzo Stadium (Atalanta winning 1-0 thanks to a goal by Fausto Rossini in the 85th minute).   Venezia defeated again by Atalanta.  In the second half, Luis Muriel serves the doubling to Zapata and scores the third goal. Henry, after having his advantage canceled due to offside, hits a post, Crnigoj saves the honor for Venezia who continue their negative streak, anchored in last place in the standings.  In the 35th round, Venezia will be guests of Juventus while Atalanta team will host Salernitana.

Salernitana are motivated after leaving the last position and climbing to the 18th position with three precious points thus relaunching the hopes of salvation.  Salernitana defeated Fiorentina at the Arechi Stadium.   This is a tough loss for Fiorentina slowing down their battle for a spot in the Europa League next season becoming difficult.  This victory allows Salernitana to reach 25 points in the standings and approach the 16th and 17th place occupied by Sampdoria and Cagliari. Fiorentina, on the other hand, remains at 56.   In the next round, Salernitana will play the away game against Atalanta and Fiorentina will play away from home against AC Milan (there will be the recovery game with Udinese).

Genoa defeated Cagliari at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium   The third consecutive victory of Salernitana in a week has revolutionized the low ranking, even Cagliari therefore cannot be considered calm.  At the last breath after a very tense and complicated match, Genoa puts their heads out and gives themselves the three precious points with Badelj’s goal. Cagliari, which held up the whole match, even hitting a post with Joao Pedro, was defeated. Salvation race reopened.
