Italian Soccer Serie A

Hello, my friends. Here are the 2019-2020 Serie A Week 23 RESULTS / Twenty-third Round on Friday 7, Saturday 8, and Sunday 9 February 2020.

Surprise!   We have a change in the leadership.   Juventus losing their third game this season and losing the first position.  Yep.  Juventus lost against Hellas Verona at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium with a 2-1.   The hero is forward Giampaolo Pazzini scoring the winner goal to delight their fans celebrating this victory against Juventus as winning the title!   The goal of Cristiano Ronaldo was not enough to give the victory to Juventus.  Good news continue for Hellas Verona because the victory help them climb from the 10th to the 6th position!!!!

The famous Milan Derby is won by Inter to claim the full bragging rights to rule the City of Milan.   A total blow for AC Milan who were leading 2-0 to lose the game 2-4!   Inter being down by two goals overturned the result.  The victory helped Inter tor reach 54 points same as Juventus. However, Inter having a better goal difference of +24 compared to Juventus +21.  Inter is now in the 1st position.

Juventus and Inter should be trembling because Lazio is following closely with 53 points after defeating Parma.  It means that Round 24 will be a total thriller and Lazio motivated might surprise the two leaders.

Cagliari not only losing the away game against Genoa at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium, but also losing the 6th position.   Yep.  Cagliari went down from the 6th to the 8th position.

Napoli coach Gennaro Gattuso not seeing the light at the San Paolo Stadium.  Lecce defeating Napoli with a 2-3.   Napoli far from being among the top 6 positions is down in the 11th position.  Lecce is now in the 17th position with 22 points and motivated to get far away from the relegation zone.

Bad news continue for Torino.   New coach Moreno Longo making his debut with a defeat losing the home game at the Olimpico di Torino Stadium against Sampdoria with a 1-3.  Nothing seems to be working for Torino.

Better news are for Brescia with the debut of Coach Diego Lopez with a 1-1 draw against Udinese.  Lopez replaced coach Eugenio Corini.

The relegation zone remains the same with Genoa, Brescia and SPAL in the last positions.
