Cristian Chivu has been appointed as the new manager of Parma Calcio, taking over from former coach Fabio Pecchia. The official news released on February 18, 2025. Chivu takes over from Fabio Pecchia, who left the club on February 17. During Pecchia’s tenure, which spanned 110 matches, the club celebrated significant achievements, including the remarkable victory in the 2023/24 Serie B.
Note: As of Week 25 in Serie A, Parma finds themselves in 18th place, having accumulated just 20 points and facing a goal difference of -15. Chivu’s task will be to ensure the team stays in Serie A for the upcoming season.
Chivu, alongside his staff made up of Antonio Gagliardi (assistant manager), Angelo Palombo (technical assistant) and Nicola Pavarini (goalkeeper coach), will begin training with the team as of this afternoon at the Mutti Training Center.
The Club would like to welcome Cristian and his team to the gialloblu and we wish them the very best throughout their time here.
