Inter coach Simone Inzaghi, formerly coaching Lazio, making his debut with a convincing victory crushing Genoa.  Inter sending the strong signal they are here to defend the Scudetto this season.  Inter win the Serie A Week 1 game against Genoa on Saturday 21 August 2021 at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan, Italy.

Genoa crumbling. Inter increasing the score for the 3-0 in the 74th minute. It is King Arturo Vidal to deliver a right footed shot to the bottom right corner while his teammates run to congratulate him. The assist is by Nicolò Barella.

The final cherry on top of the ice cream… A precious debut goal in the 87th minute by new Inter player forward Edin Dzeko with the assist by Arturo Vidal.

I CAMPIONI IN CARICA RIPARTONO BENE

Prova convincente dell’Inter all’esordio a San Siro davanti al proprio pubblico. I nerazzurri superano il Genoa con un netto 4 – 0, allungando a 7 la serie di vittorie consecutive contro i grifoni, con un parziale di 25 gol a 0. La squadra di Inzaghi mette al sicuro il risultato già nei primi minuti, con la rete di testa di Skriniar al 6′ e il gol di Calhanoglu al 14′. A seguire i padroni di casa colpiscono la traversa con Dzeko, si vedono annullare due reti per fuorigioco e poi dilagano nel finale, con Vidal (74′) e Dzeko (87′). Soddisfatto Inzaghi a fine partita: “Ero abbastanza sicuro della squadra, vedo lavorare il gruppo con tantissimo entusiasmo e meglio di così non potevo immaginare l’esordio”.

What an ending! Imagine, in the 93rd minute, Atalanta claiming the victory with the goal by Roberto Piccoli smacking from very close range a right footed shot!
