Here are the standings, results, and fixtures for the Italy Under 21 National Football Team in their various competitions.

The Italian national under-21 football team is managed by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC). This team participates in the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, which takes place every two years. Italy, alongside Spain, is the most successful nation in the history of this competition, having won five Championships (1992, 1994, 1996, 2000, and 2004). Additionally, Italy has been the runner-up twice, in 1986 and 2013.

Statistics indicate that from 1990 to 2004, the Italian National U-21 team demonstrated near-total dominance in European Under-21 football, clinching five out of seven tournaments.

On 24 March 2007, Italy’s Under-21s played their first match at the new Wembley Stadium against England Under-21s. The match ended in a 3–3 draw, with Giampaolo Pazzini netting all three goals for the Azzurrini.

What an exhilarating matchup! On Friday, June 20, 2025, Bayern Munich triumphed over Boca Juniors in the Group Stage of the FIFA Club World Cup at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. Bayern Munich has now progressed to the knockout stages of the Club World Cup.

It’s all positive news for the German champions, as Bayern secured their second win in Group C. With 6 points, Bayern has advanced to the round of 16 with a game remaining.

Olise clinched the victory after Miguel Merentiel had put Boca in a position to equalize with a stunning solo goal in the 66th minute.

Bayern, leading the group, took the initiative with Harry Kane’s precise finish in the 18th minute and went on to squander several opportunities before Merentiel’s equalizer.

However, the victory came with a downside. Star German midfielder Jamal Musiala left the game injured just 25 minutes after coming on replacing in the 57th minute Serge Gnabry.  Sadly, Musiala was replaced in the 82nd minute by Thomas Müller. The specifics of his injury were not immediately clear. The 22-year-old had been recovering from a torn hamstring during the Bundesliga season.

Boca Juniors still have a shot at advancing, but they must defeat Auckland City on Tuesday and hope Benfica loses to Bayern on the same day.

Stats before the game

Bayern Munich is on a strong streak, having recently triumphed over Auckland City, Hoffenheim, and Borussia Monchengladbach, extending their unbeaten run to eight games. Their spirits are high following a historic 10-0 victory against Auckland City!

In contrast, Boca Juniors comes into this match after a defeat to Independiente in the Liga Profesional Play Offs on May 19. Their defense has been inconsistent, allowing goals in their last four away games consecutively.

Result Los Angeles FC 0 – 1 Esperance, Friday 20 June 2025, FIFA Club World Cup, Group Stage

Los Angeles FC faced a defeat against Esperance Sportive de Tunis during the Group Stage of the FIFA Club World Cup on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Geodis Park stadium in Nashville, USA.
This was a disappointing loss for the MLS team LAFC, as they were eliminated from the FIFA Club World Cup after Denis Bouanga had his penalty saved deep into stoppage time, resulting in a 1-0 defeat.

As a result, this victory puts Esperance on par with Chelsea in Group D, following Chelsea’s earlier loss of 3-1 to Brazil’s Flamengo on the same Friday.

Youcef Belaïli scored for the Tunisian team in the 70th minute, but LAFC seemed poised to equalize and keep their hopes alive heading into the final round of matches when referee Espen Eskas awarded a late penalty after a video review determined that Khalil Guenichi had brought down Marlon in the box.

However, Bouanga’s penalty kick was saved by Ben Said, sealing LAFC’s exit from the tournament, which they had qualified for just three weeks prior by winning a playoff against Club América.

The winner of the upcoming match between Esperance and Chelsea on Tuesday in Philadelphia will advance to the knockout stage, with Chelsea able to progress with a draw due to a better goal differential. Esperance’s win on Friday also secured Flamengo’s spot in the round of 16.

Stats before the game

After suffering a defeat to Chelsea last Monday, Los Angeles is looking to regroup and bounce back in this upcoming match.

In contrast to their opponent’s recent difficulties, Esperance enters this game with confidence, having recently achieved a three-game winning streak against Stade Tunis, Ben Guerdane, and Esperance de Zarzis, aiming to extend their unbeaten run to eleven.

Result Flamengo 3 – 1 Chelsea, Friday 20 June 2025, FIFA Club World Cup, Group Stage

Flamengo triumphed over Premier League side Chelsea on Friday 20 June 2025, in the Group Stage of the FIFA Club World Cup Group D, held at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Flamengo came back from a first-half deficit to win 3-1 against Chelsea. The Brazilian team clinched the victory with second-half goals from Bruno Henrique, Danilo, and Wallace Yan, marking their second consecutive win in the tournament.

Chelsea initially took the lead with an early goal from Pedro Neto but missed several chances to increase their advantage, which allowed Flamengo to mount an impressive comeback.

As a result, Flamengo sits at the top of Group D with six points from two matches, while Chelsea holds the second position with three points.

Chelsea is set to face Esperance in their final group match on Tuesday.

Flamengo scored two quick goals through Henrique and Danilo in the 62nd and 65th minutes, respectively, shortly before Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson received a straight red card for a studs-up challenge just three minutes later.

Coached by former Chelsea defender Filipe Luís and featuring ex-Chelsea midfielder Jorginho, Flamengo sealed their victory with Yan’s goal in the 83rd minute.

This win marks the second occasion a South American team has defeated a European team by multiple goals in a FIFA international club competition.
