Monza, 20th position with 14 points and a negative goal difference of -25
Monza and Parma ended their Serie A Week 29 with a draw on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the U-Power Stadium in Monza, Italy. Currently sitting at the bottom of the table with just 15 points. Meanwhile, Parma reached 25 points. Today’s draw benefits Parma more than Monza, as both teams earn an additional point in the standings.
Monza dominated the first half, which ended without any goals. Parma stepped up their game in the second half. Monza kicked off strongly, breaking the deadlock in the 60th minute with a corner kick that Izzo converted with a precise tap-in following a setup from D’Ambrosio.
For about twenty minutes, the pace was relentless, but then Parma shifted gears. With fresh players on the field, they found the equalizer. Bonny scored in the 84th minute with a brilliant double dribble followed by a shot that hit the underside of the crossbar. The final moments of the match were intense. Parma pushing for a second goal through Ondrejka, but Turati remained composed and made the save. This thrilling battle for survival concluded in the 94th minute.
Next up, Nesta and Chivu’s teams will face off in their upcoming matches, with one traveling to Cagliari and the other hosting Verona.
The match …
Monza gained the upper hand in the 59th minute when Armando Izzo found the back of the net with a powerful right-footed shot aimed at the top center. The goal was set up by Danilo D’Ambrosio. He capitalized on a corner kick awarded after Enrico Delprato’s foul. This crucial goal puts the Brianza team ahead, originating from a corner taken by Castrovilli, which D’Ambrosio cleverly redirected to his captain, allowing him to score past goalkeeper Zion Suzuki.
