Sport Exclusively for Everyone continues even at San Siro!

An ever-increasing number of youngsters are taking part in the courses of our inclusive sports programme, which now has something new: just recently we reached the number required to start a 5-a-side football course and training began just a few days ago. This team will have 8 foreign and Italian children from the 2007/2009 classes.
This is an extension of the educational offer by “Sport Exclusively for Everyone”. Organised by Fondazione Don Gnocchi and Special Olympics in collaboration with Fondazione Milan, the initiative makes sport accessible to youngsters in the south of Milan, with specific focus on the inclusion of those with special needs.
In addition to the new 5-a-side football course, fencing, basketball, creative dancing and indoor rowing classes have also been inaugurated in recent months. There are 48 participants and they include youngsters with or without psychological or physical disabilities.
Early feedback has been enthusiastic and parents have expressed the same satisfaction as the instructors about the success of the courses. The most coveted objective is the complete integration of young people and the offer of an experience where they will grow together and learn from diversity. Our youngsters are succeeding and sport is proving to be the ideal channel.
