SPORT AND SOCIAL INCLUSION

Training through sport in order to further skills and personal development. This is the aim for the “Sport and Social Inclusion” project created by the Milan Foundation, which was presented on Friday morning at 11.00 at the youth correctional facility in Nisida. The project launched by the Milan Foundation is also in collaboration with the European Sports Amateur Association.
The initiative is aimed at young people from the ages of 14 through to 21, both Italian and foreign, that are in need of a helping hand and support when it comes to education and qualifications. In this case, youths will have the chance to obtain football coaching qualifications. The first year of the project will seek to involve around 15/20 youths for each soccer school. 4 of these will come from the Nisida youth correctional facility and will be allowed to leave the centre to take part in the project and the courses to become coaches.
Italian daily the Corriere del Mezzogiorno has also chosen to give coverage to the project. Click here to read more (in Italian).
