Lazio making a comeback in Russia. Lazio managed to get a 1-1 draw against Zenith Saint Petersburg for the UEFA Champions League Group Stage Group F, Matchday 3, on Wednesday 4 November 2020 at the Saint Petersburg Stadium in Russia. Lazio reaching now 5 points in Group F.

The match started uphill for Lazio with many players testing with COVID-19 on the eve of the match before traveling to Russia. The three main players not making to the trip were goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha, midfielder Lucas Leiva and forward Ciro Immobile among others.  Therefore, we might consider this draw as a victory for Lazio to lift their morale.

Zenit Saint Petersburg opened the score in the 32nd minute. Aleksandr Erokhin defeating Lazio goalkeeper from very close range with a right footed shot in the top left corner. The headed assist is by Artem Dzyuba.

Lazio equalizing for the 1-1 in the 82nd minute thanks to Felipe Caicedo defeating Zenit Saint Petersburg goalkeeper Mikhail Kerzhakov with a left footed shot.
