Juventus:Champions League build-up intensifies, Monday 23 November 2015

Strategy comes to the fore as Massimiliano Allegri’s men undergo an intense morning workout in Vinovo. Hernanes sidelined for approximately three weeks

After commencing their preparations for Wednesday’s Champions League Group D clash with Manchester City yesterday, the Bianconeri were back on the training ground this morning to work on the strategy to be adopted against the Citizens at Juventus Stadium.

With top spot in the group still firmly in Juve’s sights, Massimiliano Allegri left nothing down to chance during an intense workout in which technical drills were teamed with tactical scenarios.

Missing out again was Hernanes, who underwent tests to ascertain the exact nature of the problem picked up during last weekend’s meeting with Milan. These revealed a first-grade tear in the adductor longus muscle in the midfielder’s right thigh. He is expected to be out of action for approximately three weeks.

Tomorrow will see the Bianconeri undergo their final session in Vinovo at 15.15 CET, the first 15 minutes of which is open to the media. This is to be followed by Allegri and Claudio Marchisio’s Juventus Stadium press conference at 18.30.

Elsewhere, City will conduct their final preparations on home soil in the morning before Manuel Pellegrini and a Blues player chat to journalists in Turin from 19.15 onwards.
