Spain had the chance to take the lead in the 12th minute. Slovakia goalkeeper Martin Dubravka saved the penalty diving correctly and parries the ball away. . Álvaro Morata failing to convert the penalty seeing his right footed shot saved in the bottom left corner. The penalty is conceded by Jakub Hromada.

Spain scoring for the 2-0 in the 45th minute just before ending the first half. It is Aymeric Laporte to score from very close range with a headed shot to the top right corner.
