🏆👉 Juventus lost the Champions League Group Stage – Group H Matchday 6 game against Paris Saint Germain on Wednesday 2 November 2022 at the Allianz Arena in Turin, Italy. Having passed the group stage in the last eight Champions League editions, Juventus have not qualified for the knockout stage in the competition for the first time since 2013-14.
A sour home defeat, Paris Saint Germain prevailed in the end. Juventus lost for the fifth time out of six games and close the group with only 3 points, but will still be able to continue their journey in the Europa League. PSG, on the other hand, had to settle for second place: Benfica beat Maccabi Haifa 6-1 and passed as before for better goal difference. Juventus will have to prepare for redemption facing this weekend in Serie A Inter, who qualified for the Round of 16.
This is not the ideal start. Paris Saint Germain opened the score in the 13th minute. French forward Kylian Mbappé defeated Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny with a right-footed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Lionel Messi.

✅ Stats before the game. Juventus’ first defeat (1-2) against PSG in European competitions came in the first round of this Champions League, after the Bianconeri had won six of all eight previous matches (2D) against the Parisians. PSG have not won any of the four away games played in European competitions against Juventus: the last one dates back to the return of the European Super Cup final in February 1997, when the Parisians lost 3-1 to Ricardo Gomes. Juventus lost four games in a single Champions League group stage for the first time. Only once have the Bianconeri suffered five defeats in a single edition in the competition: in 2002-03 (one in the first group stage, three in the second and one in the semifinal). Paris Saint-Germain have won the last match of the group stage in each of the last four editions of the Champions League, scoring at least four goals in each of these matches (18 goals in total).
👉 Lineup JUVENTUS (3-5-1-1): Szczesny; Gatti, Bonucci, Alex Sandro; Cuadrado, Fagioli, Locatelli, Rabiot, Kostic; Miretti; Milik.
👉 Lineup PSG (4-3-1-2):Donnarumma; Hakimi, Sergio Ramos, Marquinhos, Bernat; Vitinha, Verratti, Fabian Ruiz; Soler; Messi, Mbappé.
