What a day for Juventus forward Alessandro Matri scoring the winner goal to give Juventus their 10th Coppa Italia on Wednesday 20 May 2015 at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium defeating Lazio. Juventus 2 – 1 Lazio.
A joyful Matri who won’t mind getting a yellow card after removing his shirt to celebrate the winner goal. A joy shared by millions of Juventus fans worldwide especially those at the Stadium.
Matri saying, “Obviously it feels amazing for me personally but regardless of that it’s fantastic to win our 10th Coppa. A feature of our play is that we’re always ready – to a man – even if we only play 10 minutes. We’ve always got a huge will to win, we’re naturally very driven.”
Matri adding that “This Coppa is a reward for the hard work we’ve put in over the last year. Now we’re in the right frame of mind to prepare for the final in Berlin. Barcelona are in our sights, we know we’re a good side and we’ll approach the game with hope and a great desire to win it.”
Matri scored the winner goal in the 97th minute. Matri came as a substitute in the 84th minute replacing forward Fernando Llorente. What a good move by coach Massimiliano Allegri. Congrats Matri.
