Serie A tickets

Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Juventus,  1st position with 24 points and a positive goal difference of +14
Napoli, 3rd position with 20 points and a positive goal difference of +9

Pos Team P W D L Goals DIFF Points
1 Juventus 10 8 0 2 21:7 14 24
3 Napoli 10 6 2 2 19:10 9 20

The big duel to keep alive the race for the Scudetto.  Juventus leading the Serie A with 24 points only +2 points ahead of AS Roma with 22 points in the 2nd position.   For Juventus, the victory is a must to keep the leadership.   If Napoli defeats Juventus, Roma will have the chance to become the sole leader if they defeat Empoli at the Carlo Castellani Stadium because they will grab the full 3 points to sum 25 points.   A draw for Juventus will also be critical in case of Roma winning.  The goal difference for Juventus is +14 and Roma also +14. So, it depends on who will score more goals to define the leadership.

The awaited player is the ex-Napoli player Argentinian forward Gonzalo “El Pipita” Higuaín  who transferred to Juventus on 26 July 2016.  Higuaín played for Napoli from 2013 to 2016 making 104 appearances and scoring 71 goals.   Question is whether Higuain will celebrate if he scores against his ex-team or not. Should he?

Up to Serie A Week 10, Juventus having 8 wins and 2 defeats.  Napoli having 6 wins, 2 draws, and 2 defeats.

There are 140 precedents in Serie A between Juventus and Napoli.  Stats showing Juventus with 64 wins including 43 wins in Turin  and 46 draws.  Napoli with 30 wins and only 7 wins in Turin.  It’s a real challenge for Napoli to defeat Juventus at the Juventus Stadium.  Juventus scoring 206 goals and Napoli 152 goals.     The last time Napoli defeated Juventus in Turin was on October 31, 2009. The last game in Turin was won by Juventus on February 13, 2016 with the goal by Zaza in the 88th minute for the 1-0.  The last draw in Turin was on May 22, 2011 ending with a 2-2.
