A sad defeat, painful, but Juventus Captain and goalkeeper Gigi Buffon looks ahead for the future.    Juventus were not in a Final since 2003 and waited 12 years to be in the big show.   Here are the declarations by Buffon and forward Alvaro Morata after losing the   Champions League Final: Juventus 1 – 3 Barcelona, Saturday 6 June 2015, Olympiastadion, Berlin, Germany

 

Buffon saying, “There are moments of intense joy and then there are moments of disappointment. That’s what sport is all about; you just have to accept it. We’ve lost tonight but we’ve had a magnificent year and enjoyed incredible success with our fans.

“I must admit that for a few minutes I really thought we were going to do it.”

Forward Alvaro Morata author of the only goal for Juventus saying, “We had this chance for glory but couldn’t pull it off,” he acknowledged.

“Now we have to get our heads down again and work on becoming an even better team, on winning even more trophies. We’d like to thank all our fans who came here for us tonight.”
