Italy Head Coach Roberto Mancini preparing the squad on Saturday 27 March 20221 for the second 2022 Qatar World Cup Qualifier  match against Bulgaria to be played on Sunday 28.   Italy will look to extend the 23 games unbeaten after defeating Northern Ireland.   The team departing from Parma to Sofia, Bulgaria at 10:30.  The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) informs that Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini, Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi and Sassuolo forward Francesco Caputo all unable for the match against Bulgaria and Lithuania and will return to their clubs. This comes after the departures of Bryan Cristante and Moise Kean.

Stats with Bulgaria:  Italy in six games played in Bulgaria not with an ideal result, Italy  have never won (four draws and two defeats).
