Italy Head Coach Ventura called up 27 players for 2018 World Cup Playoffs against Sweden on November 10 and 13, 2017

Italy Head Coach Gian Piero Ventura has called up 27 players for the two 2018 World Cup playoffs against Sweden.  The first leg Sweden vs Italy will be played at the Friends Arena in Solna at 20:45 CET on Friday 10 November  and the second leg Italy vs Sweden on Monday 13 November 2017 at  the Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) Stadium in Milan, Italy at 20:45.

Among the news is that Jorginho is called back after his last appearance with Italy on 6th June 2016 in the friendly game against Finland.  Midfielder Alessandro Florenzi and forward Simone Zaza are back for the first time since October and November 2016.   Good news is for striker Andrea Belotti, midfielder Marco Verratti and midfielder Daniele De Rossi are all back after missing FYR Macedonia and Albania matches in October due to fitness problems.

As informed by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), the players will arrive on Sunday 5 November evening at Coverciano where they will train until Thursday when they depart for Stockholm. The day after the away leg, the Italian National Team will return to Italy and relocate to the Suning Centre in Appiano Gentile where they will prepare for the second leg.
