Morata: “An incredible feeling”

After making his first appearance tonight against Udinese, the Spanish striker describes the sensation of pulling on the black and white stripes and playing at Juventus Stadium.

As he entered the field for the first time as a Juventus player, there was a great roar from the Bianconeri crowd to greet Alvaro Morata’s introduction and the Spaniard already looks like he’s going to be a fans’ favourite.

After suffering an injury shortly after making the move from Real Madrid, the 21-year-old is now raring to go as the Serie A season takes shape: “I’m feeling good, fully fit and available.”

The young Spaniard was beaming after stepping out on to the Juventus Stadium pitch for the first time: “I’m happy to have played – it was an incredible feeling!”

He also went on to praise the Bianconeri faithful: “I’d like to thank the fans for the support that they continue to show me and hope to repay them as soon as possible.”

Morata almost crowned his first appearance for the club with a goal but he certainly wasn’t ruing the missed opportunity: “I was close to getting off the mark tonight but it’s only the first game. The important thing is that the team won.”
