🏆👉 The day of truth and the verdict is out.  Argentina won the FIFA World Cup Final defeating France on penalties on Sunday 18 December 2022 at the Lusail Nationa in Lusail, Qatar. His eight goals was the most since 2002 when forward Ronaldo scored eight for Brazil.

Stats before the game. Argentina participates in its sixth World Cup Final, only Germany (8) who counts more. They could lift the trophy for the third time, after 1978 and 1986, but by losing, they would become the team with the most defeats in the World Cup Finals (4, like Germany).  France have reached the World Cup final for the fourth time, all since 1998 (1998, 2006, 2018, 2022). In the period, at least twice as many national teams have achieved this result. Defending champions Les Bleus could become the third nation to win back-to-back World Cups, after Italy (1934 and 1938) and Brazil (1958 and 1962). This will be the fourth World Cup meeting between Argentina and France. Albiceleste have won two of their three previous matches, however losing their only knockout stage match, a 3-4 defeat in the 2018 round of 16. In total, this will be the 13th meeting between Argentina and France in all competitions, with Les Bleus winning just three of the previous 12 (D3, L6). France are unbeaten in 10 World Cup matches against South American nations (W6, D4). Indeed, the last defeat dates back to the first group stage of 1978, 1-2 against Argentina. This will be the 11th World Cup final contested between a South American and a European nation; South American teams have lifted the trophy on seven of the previous 10 occasions. However, Argentina are responsible for two of the three defeats (against Germany in 1990 and 2014), while France were responsible for the other European victory (3-0 against Brazil in 1998).

🏆👉 Lineup ARGENTINA  (4-4-2):  E. Martinez; Molina, Otamendi, Romero, Tagliafico; Di Maria, De Paul, E. Fernandez, Mac Allister; Messi, Alvarez.

🏆👉 Lineup FRANCE (4-2-3-1): Lloris; Koundé, Varane, Upamecano, T. Hernandez; Tchouameni, Rabiot; Dembelé, Griezmann, Mbappé; Giroud.
