The wait is over, this is it for the Italian National team. The big day is here! It’s Monday 13 June 2016 and Italy will make their debut in the EURO against Belgium at 21:00 at the Stade de Lumières, a new stadium which opened in January 2016 replacing the Stade de Gerland.
As reported by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio and Director General Michele Uva will be in the stands supporting the Azzurri alongside Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) President Giovanni Malagò; CONI secretary general Roberto Fabbricini; IOC vice president Mario Pescante; the Italian ambassador to France, Giandomenico Magliano; and the Italian Consular General in Lyon, Giulio Marongiu.
Italy will play EURO 2016 games in Group E: Belgium vs Italy on Mon, 13 June, Italy vs Sweden on Fri, 17 June, and Italy vs Republic of Ireland on Wed, 22 June.
