Italian Soccer Serie A blog congratulates the winners of the 2019 Gran Gala del Calcio held on Monday 2 December 2019 in Milan, Italy.  The Gran Galà del Calcio AIC is organized by the Italian Footballers’ Association (AIC) to award players, managers and referees who has been considered to have performed the best over the previous Serie A season. The winners of the prizes are chosen by the league’s footballers.

The coveted award of the Best Player is for Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo for his superb performance helping Juventus to win their eighth straight Scudetti with his 21 Serie A goals.

It is good to see Atalanta recognized as the best team for achieving for the first time the Champions League qualification.  The joy is also complete seeing Atalanta Coach Gian Piero Gasperini named as Best Coach for his great results in the 2018-2019 Season.  Atalanta also had two players in the best XI: Josip Ilicic and Duvan Zapata.
