Juventus won the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa Final defeating Atalanta on Wednesday 15 May 2024 at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium in Rome, Italy. At the end there was a lot of tension, Juventus Coach Massimiliano Allegri was sent off for protesting, in the end the Bianconeri lifted the Cup.  Atalanta struggled to react but came close to scoring in the second half, with Juve not watching. Juventus took home the fifteenth Italian Cup in its history thanks to Dušan Vlahović’s goal, which arrived in the 4th minute following an assist from Cambiaso.

Juventus is the team that has played in the most finals (22 including this one) in the history of the Italian Cup and the one that has won the competition the most times (15). More in detail, Juventus have lifted the trophy in six of the last eighth finals they have played in the Italian Cup.

Massimiliano Allegri became the first coach in history to win the Coppa Italia five times (overtaking Sven-Göran Eriksson and Roberto Mancini, both on four).

✅    Stats before the game: Atalanta and Juventus face each other in a final for only the second time in all competitions, after the one, again in the Italian Cup, won by the Bianconeri on 19 May 2021 at the MAPEI Stadium 2-1, with goals from Kulusevski and Chiesa for the Piedmontese club and a goal from Malinovskyi for the Dea. This will be the sixth Italian Cup final in Atalanta’s history. After winning the trophy in its first final of the tournament in 1962/63 against Torino (3-1 with Paolo Tabanelli as coach), the Dea lost all four subsequent finals of the national cup (1986/87, 1995/96, 2018/19 and 2020/21). The last trophy won by Atalanta was in the 2010/11 Serie B with Stefano Colantuono as coach (1st place in that championship). By also reaching the Europa League final, which will be played on 22 May against Bayer Leverkusen in Dublin, for the first time in its history Atalanta will play two finals of two different official competitions in a single season.
