Argentina opening the score in the 29th minute with forward Sergio “Kun” Aguero defeating Paraguay goalkeeper Antony Silva with a right footed shot in the bottom left corner.

Referee Wilmar Roldán giving a penalty to Argentina in the 35th minute conceded by Paraguay defender Miguel Samudio after a foul on Argentina forward Angel Di Maria.  Taking the penalty spot is forward Lionel Messi and there you go… the moment awaited by Messi fans.. gooooallllll Messi converting the penalty with a left footed shot in the bottom right corner.

Second half starting with Paraguay making a substitution in the 45th minute. Forward  Derlis González replacing midfielder Richard Ortíz.

Paraguay shortening the distance  for the 2 – 1 in the 60th minute.  It is forward Nelson Valdez to defeat Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero with a right footed shot from about 25 yards  in the top left corner.   The assist is by midfielder  Néstor Ortigoza.

Paraguay making a second substitution in the 66th minute by refreshing the attack.  Forward Édgar Benítez replacing Raúl Bobadilla.

Finally, we get to see our italian Serie players in action.  In the 75th minute, Argentina replacing midfielder Javier Pastore to bring (Juventus) forward Carlos Tevez.     In the 76th minute, forward Sergio Aguero is replaced by (Napoli) forward Gonzalo “El Pipita” Higuain.

Oh my gosh, what a game!  Just when almost everybody thought the game was over and there you go in the 90th mintue Paraguay equalizing the math for the 2-2.  Incredible, Paraguay with heart and determination and it is forward Lucas Barrios to defeat goalkeeper Romero with a left footed shot in the bottom left corner and immediately running to celebrate.  The assist is by Paulo Da Silva.   It’s a surprise for Argentina who were favorites to win the game.
