Italian Soccer Serie A

Hello, my friends. Here are the 2019-2020 Serie A Week 18 PREVIEW / Eighteenth Round on Sunday 5 and Monday 6 January 2020.   We are back to the Serie A after the break to celebrate Christmas and New Year.   It’s a new decade and all 20 Serie A teams are energized fulled of motivation to change their performance.

The good news is for Lazio returning after the break as winner of the Supercoppa Italiana defeating Juventus in Saudi Arabia on 22 December 2019.   You bet, Juventus will be more than motivated to resume the season after the defeat and focus on their main objective which is to win the UEFA Champions League.

In the meantime, we might have a change in the Serie A leadership.   Inter keeping the first position reaching 42 points and a positive goal difference of +22. Inter crushed Genoa at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium with a 4-0.  Juventus also with 42 points share the same points with Inter. However, Juventus is in the second position because they have a lower goal difference of +14.    Simply put, Inter will keep the first position if they defeat Napoli at the San Paolo Stadium.  In case of Inter losing, Juventus might take back the first position if they defeat Cagliari at the Allianz Stadium.

👉 Up to Serie A Week 17: There is a three-way race between Inter (42), Juventus (42), and Lazio (36)

⚽️ Serie A Top Scorer up to Week 17:
Lazio forward Ciro Immobile with 17 goals

Serie A tickets

AC Milan is highly motivated after signing the great Zlatan Ibrahimovic with the dream to revive AC Milan.   Last game, Atalanta humiliated AC Milan at the Atleti Azzurri D’Italia Stadium with a mega goleada 5-0!!!!  Now, it’s time to archive the bad experience and dream big.

Genoa with new coach Davide Nicola replacing Thiago Motta will look to win his debut game against Sassuolo.   Genoa is in the 20th position and dreaming with salvation must become a reality or face relegation next season.
