A fantastic day for Hellas Verona as they secured their first win of the season on Saturday, 6 December 2025, for Serie A Week 14 at the Marc'Antonio Bentegodi Stadium in Verona, Italy.. Verona played an impeccable match against Atalanta, bringing home three points with a score of 3-1. The Gialloblù took the lead in the first half thanks to Rafik Belghali and Giovane. Antoine Bernede sealed the victory by scoring a third goal in the second half. Unfortunately, Gianluca Scamacca's penalty was wasted. It’s a hard pill to swallow, as Atalanta faced their second defeat during the Palladino era.

Hellas Verona gained the advantage in the 28th minute. Rafik Belghali found the net with a left-footed strike from the center of the box, beating Atalanta's goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi in the top right corner. This goal was assisted by Daniel Mosquera.



 

It appears that Verona has found their inspiration and has increased their lead in the 36th minute. Giovane has scored! A long throw-in into the center of the box was cleared to the edge, where Giovane unleashed a strong shot that sailed past Carnesecchi! The shot also took a slight deflection, a lethal one-two from the Gialloblù!
