AC Milan missed the opportunity to secure a home win. Milan and Genoa concluded Serie A Week 19 with a draw on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at the San Siro Stadium in Milan. It was an astonishing finish where everything unfolded: a 1-1 tie. Milan accumulated 39 points, holding the 2nd position, just 3 points behind Inter, who are in 1st place with 42 points. The key takeaway is that Milan has shown struggles against teams in the lower half of the standings, unlike their performances against the top teams.

De Rossi's squad managed to grab a crucial point away from home against the Rossoneri, but they left feeling a bit disappointed after Stanciu missed a penalty in added time. Nevertheless, Genoa should be commended for their brave first half.
