🇮🇹     Lecce and Lazio concluded Serie A Week 22 with a scoreless draw on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the Via del Mare Stadium in Lecce, Italy. Neither side was able to break the stalemate, resulting in each team earning one point. Lecce now has 18 points, while Lazio stands at 29 points. The challenges persist for both squads. Lecce is edging closer to the relegation zone, whereas Lazio remains outside the European qualification spots.

In the first half, Di Francesco's squad controlled the game for significant periods, yet they struggled to pose any real threat in the penalty area.

Lazio defended effectively in the central zone but were caught off guard by two long-range attempts: the first from Coulibaly, which was expertly saved by Provedel, and then a stunning shot from Ramadani that struck the crossbar. In the second half, both managers sought to alter the course of the match with substitutions, but none proved effective, and despite the increased space in the closing minutes, neither team could secure the winning goal.

Following their 2-0 win in the first leg on November 23rd, Lazio has the chance to defeat Lecce in both Serie A matches for the first time since the 2003/04 season, when Roberto Mancini was at the helm.

The last 10 encounters between Lecce and Lazio in Serie A have been quite even: each team has secured four victories and there have been two draws; however, the Biancocelesti have triumphed in three of the last four meetings against Lecce (with one draw) in the top division.

Lazio is one of the two teams, alongside Udinese, against which Lecce has achieved the most home victories in Serie A (eight out of 18, with two draws and eight wins for Lazio); additionally, Lecce has netted more goals at home against no other team than Lazio in the league (23, equal to their tally against Milan).

Lecce has managed to earn just one point from their last six league matches (the 1-1 draw against Juventus on January 3rd), suffering defeats in all of their last four games; they have not experienced five consecutive losses in Serie A since February-March 2025.

Lecce is coming off three straight losses at the Via del Mare stadium (against Como, Roma, and Parma), and the last time they suffered at least four consecutive home defeats in a single Serie A season was in September-October 2011 (also under coach Eusebio Di Francesco).

After the 0-3 loss to Como, Lazio risks losing two consecutive matches in Serie A for the second time this season, following their defeats last September against Sassuolo and Roma – that was also the last occasion the Biancocelesti failed to score in two straight league games.
