On the bright side, Lazio managed to bounce back, leaving behind their defeat from last week's Derby della Capitale. Maurizio Sarri's squad triumphed at the "Ferraris" stadium, securing a 3-0 victory over Genoa with goals from Matteo Cancellieri, Valentín Castellanos, and Mattia Zaccagni.

The decisive moment came in the 63rd minute. Lazio made a comeback after their loss in the Derby della Capitale. Mattia Zaccagni secured the win with a right-footed shot from very close range into the bottom left corner, following a set piece. It was a complete breakdown for Genoa. This all unfolded during a counterattack, after Pellegrini's free kick led to Cancellieri heading the ball against the post. Leali managed to touch it with his foot, but the ball ended up with Zaccagni, who easily tapped it in. The Biancocelesti had an opportunity to score a fourth goal, but both Cancellieri and Castellanos, while turning, failed to hit the target.
