Coach Roberto Baronio has called up 19 Azzurrini players for the Under-19 friendly against France at Bologna’s Stadio Renato Dall’Ara in Bologna, Italy at 14:30 CEST. It will be a rematch of the most recent European Championship final which Les Bleus won 4-0.

As reported by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), the match will provide an opportunity to evaluate the squad ahead of the Elite Round in the European Championship which will be played between 22nd and 29th March 2017 in Belgium.

Among the news, this game will also see more experimentation with VAR (Video Assistant Referees) which was tested in online mode for the first time at the Under-19 match with Spain on 18th January in Udine.

Match officials:  Luca Pairetto will be the referee with Giorgio Peretti and Alessandro Lo Cicero his assistants. Micael Fabbri shall be the fourth official with Nicola Rizzoli and Daniele Doveri working as the video assistants.
