Italy coach Ventura visits AC Milan ahead of trips to Lazio tomorrow and Inter on 24th August

The meeting with Milan forms part of a series of visits to Serie A clubs which aims to share the Azzurri’s plans for the next couple of months with the relevant players and managers. Italy have six matches between September and November including four FIFA World Cup qualifiers for Russia 2018 (Israel, Spain, FYR Macedonia and Liechtenstein) and friendly matches against France (Bari, 1st September) and Germany (location tbc, 15th November). Tomorrow, the Italy coaching team will head to Lazio’s training centre in Formello and will then make a final trip to Internazionale’s La Pinetina ground next week on Wednesday 24th August before the Azzurri squad meet in the evening of Sunday 28th August at the National Training Centre in Coverciano. The head coach has already met with Juventus, Atalanta, Genoa, Napoli and Roma. He will continue his series of meetings with Serie A clubs after Italy’s two matches at the start of September. Anticipation continues to build for the Azzurri’s first match of the season which will take place at the Stadio San Nicola in Bari on 1st September (ko 21:00 CEST). Italy will take on France in one of international football’s most celebrated fixtures which decided the outcome of both Euro 2000 and the 2006 World Cup.
